A returning Woodlands homeowner was accosted by three black males who forced their way through the back door of her home at approximately 10:15 p.m. last night, detaining her for several minutes while stealing items from inside her house, according to a spokesman with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

A woman returned to her home on East Sterling Ridge Circle in The Woodlands some time after 10 p.m., when she noticed a black passenger car with the interior lights on inside parked in the driveway between her and her neighbor’s home driveway, Lt. Brady Fitzgerald pubic information officer with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said.

One of the men restrained the woman while the other two rummaged through her home looking for valuables. The men reportedly took jewelry and a safe.

In the meantime the woman’s husband returned home and got into a scuffle with one of the men who chased him around the parked cars in the driveway.

The three men quickly fled in their black passenger car dropping the safe and other stolen valuables.

Detectives with the Montgomery County Major Crimes Unit are working the case.

The three men are described as black males, between approximately 5 feet, 6 inches and 6 feet tall who spoke with a foreign accent that was not Spanish.
