Two charged in Darien home invasion

Alexis Jordan, 22, and Michael Appuzo, 24, both of 91 Costanzo Court, Hamden, were arrested Thursday, Jan. 30 after a 68-year-old Priscilla Lane woman found Jordan burglarizing her home.

The two were charged with home invasion, conspiracy to home invasion, first-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny, possession of narcotics, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of burglary tools.

Jordan was also charged with third-degree assault of a person over the age of 60.

Police were dispatched to Priscilla Lane on the report of a home invasion just before 3 p.m. The victim told police she was home alone when she encountered Jordan in her bedroom.

Jordan, according to police, hit the woman on the head with a wooden box before fleeing the home.

The woman sustained a minor injury but did not require medical attention.
