Resident Safety
Robberies happen every day across the country. Certain people are more likely to experience robberies- those who work in retail and service industries., at convenient stores or at banks. However, even a woman walking down the street can get mugged and have her purse snatched any day of the week. Depending on the situation, there are different ways to respond. If you are in a crowded place, the best response is to make a lot of noise. Doing this will increase our resident safety. If you scream, shout or act crazy, it will attract the attention of others and may be enough to scare the culprit away. If you are being attacked and you think you can put distance between yourself and the assailant, fight back, If you are able to call for help, do not yell rape. Yell fire. People will come more quickly to your assistance and may help you foil your attacker.
Bu if you are alone in an isolated area, it is usually better to give up the purse rather then fight for it. Be aware that the most common response when someone tries to take something that belongs to you is to resist. But doing so may put you in greater danger and compromise their resident safety. The best course of action is to hand over the item that the robber is demanding and get away as quickly as possible. Similarly, if someone pulls a knife or a gun on you, the best course of action is not to offer any resistance.
As an overall preparation, i suggest you have a emergency response number on speed on your cell phone., so you can press the button at the earliest time of trouble. If nothing else, the crime will be recorded by police on a 911 call. They may be able to use the recording later to catch the bad guy.
