Here are some different things to consider when dealing with resident safety and the types of area you live in.
Rural- in the country where homes and cattle, dairy or agricultural farms are often located miles away from each other. Only 20% of Americans live in this area.
High-density metropolitan- high-rises, large apartment complexes and neighborhoods of row houses an large, three- or four-story family dwellings. (Often these houses are divided into apartments, too.)
Lower-density suburban- mostly single-family homes surrounded by yards, with some two- and three story apartment buildings communities and strip malls and shopping areas of various sizes. We’re going to spend most of our time with this category , as more then 50% of the U.S. population live in these low-density environments.
These are the categories in which Americans live.
