HOUSTON –

Houston police are investigating a home invasion that led to a shooting in southeast Houston.

According to investigators, a 20-year-old man kicked in the door to a home on Glenheath and Ruthby around 4:50 a.m. Sunday.

A husband and wife were home at the time.

Houston police say the 56-year-old husband feared for his life and shot the intruder twice in the abdomen.

The man was rushed to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died.Check
