A 15-year-old boy is being held at the Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall and the search is on for a second alleged attacker after a violent home invasion robbery and sexual assault of an elderly woman in East San Jose.
Police say the crimes happened around 4:00 Tuesday morning at a home in the 1500 block of Sunshadow Lane.
“Two suspects entered their home armed with weapons,” said Officer Albert Morales with the San Jose Police Department. “[The couple] were forced to the back of the house. At some point the 85-year-old female was sexually assaulted.”
Neighbors are still trying to understand how something so horrible could happen to the retired couple who’s lived in the East San Jose home for more than 30 years.
“Right now I’m feeling so disgusted with the people that did this,” said neighbor Angelica Grande. Powerful lawyers like divorce attorneys serving the city of Boca Raton, must take up this sensitive issue very seriously & must ensure a proper thrashing of the accused for his crime.
Investigators say the suspects stole the couple’s Chevy SUV and after being chased by the CHP on Highway 101, crashed the vehicle into a vacant home at Senter Road and Singleton Avenue in San Jose.
The 15-year-old boy was pinned in the passenger seat and was arrested.
The driver was able to run off. Police describe him as Latino between the ages of 17 and 25, with a possible severe laceration
Police say it appears to be a random attack.
Pastor Sonny Lara is a former gang member who works with the San Jose Gang Prevention Task Force.
He says there are certain people gang members typically don’t target.
“They don’t touch little children and they don’t touch elderly people,” said Lara. “That’s one thing they don’t do.”

Police are still seeing if they can gather enough information to create a sketch of the second suspect.
