Can The Ultimate Lock be installed on double doors and French doors?
The Ultimate Lock 3000 series can be installed on double doors and french doors however, they do require more than a lock in center of the door. Because of the nature of french doors/ double doors, they are very flimsy. The reason for this is due largely because the stationary door only has a pin at the top and a pin at the bottom. So in a sense, the stationary door acts like a wall for the movable door to lock into. The problem is that the pins do not take much to break through and as a result the center lock will not do much on its own.
We however, have fixed this problem by designing our lock to work with and without a deadbolt lock. Meaning that the lock can be installed on the top and or bottom of the stationary door to work in place of the flimsy pin systems. I have attached photos below as well as install videos calling out how to do this. My personal recommendation is to get to locks per set of double doors. One lock in the center, while the other is at the top of the stationary door. The video I have placed below shows how to install the lock as a surface mount horizontally, however, for your application it will have to be vertical. The install is the same minus the lock having a different orientation. This install will secure the stationary door, allowing for it to stay in place due to the lock being secured to the top header of the door and the movable door having something solid to latch into.

(NOTE: When installing the lock on center of the door, the strike plate screws will have to be installed at a 90 degree angel as opposed to a 30 degree angle. This is done to prevent the screws from extruding through the other side of the door.)

(NOTE: For french doors and double doors the lock will be installed vertically as opposed to horizontally)
