Three individuals have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery home invasion that occurred at a Gallatin residence.
Nashville residents Floyd Howard, Jessie McBride and Angela Borden have been arrested and are charged with aggravated robbery in connection with the break-in, which occurred Saturday at a home on East Winchester Street in Gallatin, said Gallatin Police Department spokesman Bill Storment. Police are still searching for a fourth male suspect, whose identity has not yet been released.
The armed robbery home invasion occurred at 12:40 a.m. when three black male suspects, armed with a handgun, entered the home and assaulted and robbed two Hispanic male occupants.
“One of the victims was sitting on the porch and the (three male) suspects approached him and ordered him into the house,” Storment said. “Once inside, they hit him in the face with the butt of the gun and took his money. Then they kicked down a bedroom door to find the other victim. They also hit him in the face with the butt of the gun and took his billfold.”
In addition to cash, the suspects took a television, laptop computer, cell phone and a debit card, said Storment. While none of the items were recovered, investigators were able to determine the television had been pawned by Borden at a Nashville pawn shop.
“My understanding is (the suspects) were familiar with the residents,” Storment said. “The victims did not know the suspects, but the suspects had some familiarity through a common third party or connection to that residence.”
Additional charges could be forthcoming as the investigation continues, Storment said.
