 SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police say a suspect who died of his injuries after he was shot during a home invasion Sunday night was a 16-year-old male. FITCHBURG — A teenage couple was arrested Sunday for allegedly trying to cut their way into a neighbor’s home while drunk to retrieve their baby. A New Mexico mixed martial artist won the fight of his life — outside the ring. Joseph Torrez, 27, repelled a home invasion, killing one man, injuring another so badly he left in an ambulance and persuading two others to run in fear, authorities said.  A home invasion early New Year’s Day left one alleged intruder dead, another hospitalized and two others in jail as the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate. Two women were tied up as men ransacked their homes in separate incidents on Chicago’s North Side. The Chicago Tribune reports the most recent break-in happened in the 3700 block of North Oconto. A 67-year-old woman was struck in the face when two men entered her home Monday night in the Belmont Heights neighborhood. She was held captive for nearly two hours. Westfield police arrest man in home invasion slayings

An Indianapolis man has been arrested in connection with the home-invasion slayings of two women in Westfield, police said. Christian Rene Haley, 20, was identified as the suspect Thursday evening. He is facing charges of murder, felony murder, robbery, burglary and theft.
